Lent is upon us, and I have been inspired by the words of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in which they call us during this time to devote ourselves to the spiritual and corporal works of mercy that "remind us that faith finds expression in concrete everyday actions meant to help our neighbors in body and spirit." The Women's March and the Body of Christ

I had marched twice in the March for Life in D.C. and the overall feeling was joy. Such a contrast to the many photos shown on TV of the Women's March. The phrases I heard and read over and over again: "My body, my choice" and "This is My Body." Click here to read more.

Anchorage Catholic parenting explores how to communicate effectively with teens

It was a common experience that parents desired a stronger communication with youth. Youth often give simple or one word answers when parents are trying to see how life is going. One of the main points of consensus was how important it was for the parents to communicate with each other - being on the same page is helpful.
