Our Mother's Day Plea
Being Ernest in our Pro Life Work
I want
to pray for mothers and grandmothers especially in the month of May.
I also want us to pray for
mothers who are pregnant for the first and not the last time.
I want for us, as a
parish, to do a huge act of mercy.
I want you to tell your
friends and family that the Catholic Parish of the Nativity of Jesus will help
any mom who wants to have her child and who struggles with and/or resists the
thought of abortion.
This Mother's Day we
reaffirm our Pro Life work here in Magadan.
It will be our work
together; we will help women who have a bountiful of children; we will help
woman who resist abortion and who choose the life of their child/ren; and we are asking for our friends of the
mission to offer time, money and prayers for our reaffirmation in our Pro Life
program.
So the month of May is
dedicated to Mary, the mother of Jesus, but especially to moms and children.
We pray for them to seek
birth, not abortion.
Are you ready to be a part
of this great act of mercy?
We
have done this act before. Now we want you to be a fundamental part of this
great act of Mercy. We want our parish in
Magadan to be the place where mothers of any faith or no faith at all, say, "I know I will
get help at the Catholic Parish of the Nativity of Jesus."
One woman came to us, pregnant and in need of help.
She said she was a bus conductor.
Often, when we would have our monthly
mothers meetings, some of young mothers would ride the bus and she had seen our
mothers from the mom's meeting with food and clothes.
When she became pregnant and her boyfriend
told her to have an abortion, she remembered our church and the compassion we
had shown others; she came and we helped her.
The gift of life is
our gift to celebrate and protect.
Are you
ready to be an instrument of God to help Him save lives and heal this world?
Yes! It is in
your heart; of this I am sure.
Have a glorious
and blessed Mother's Day.”
One Baby at a Time
It is hard to count how many mothers and babies we have
helped.
Officially in our program we have 46 moms that
have now given birth to over 52 children.
We have expanded our Pro-Life program in
the last few years to help poor families that have a number of children.
We see the need to be available to help
those who are open to having children.
We realize that it is difficult in Russia
We expanded our pro life work to include two
other small centers that are connected to two parish missions, one in the
village of Ola (28.5 miles from Magadan) and the offer in the village of Sokol
(34.8 miles from Magadan).
Our philosophy is to save one child at a time.
One life and one more mom saved from the pain of
abortion.
We are pro life, pro child and pro mom.
